Visit Governor Holiday to Paris, Brussels and The Netherlands

    His Excellency Eugene B. Holiday will visit Paris, Brussels and The Netherlands from November 17 until November 25, 2012.
    During his visit to Paris, the Governor will be meeting with various UNESCO representatives. During the meetings, the Governor will be informed about the work of UNESCO and the various programs in the field of tangible and intangible cultural heritage. Moreover, the Governor will attend a concert of the Orchestra of the Dutch Royal Concert building on the invitation of Ambassador Ed Kronenberg.


    After his two day visit to Paris, the Governor will have a number of meetings and visits in The Netherlands. During this part of the visit, the Governor starts with a working visit to the Cultural Heritage Agency and a visit to one of the national monuments, after which the Governor will have a meeting with the Kingdom Youth Parliament. The next day, the Governor will meet with the Chairperson of the Dutch House of Representatives (“Tweede Kamer”), Mrs. Van Miltenburg, followed by a meeting with the new Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, Mr. Ronald Plassterk, with whom the Governors of Aruba, Curacao and Sint Maarten will be discussing various topics of common interest to the four countries of the Kingdom.
     

    Following his visit to The Netherlands, the Governor will meet with the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of the Netherlands at the European Union in Brussels, Mr. Pieter de Gooijer. The Governor concludes his working visit with a meeting with EU Commissioner Andris Piebalgs, EU Commissioner for Development Cooperation.
